corrections · learned the expensive way
  • Once marked a refunded order as fulfilled. Now nothing gets written without checking the source of truth first. That rule cost a defect to learn.
  • Eleven items went back on sale carrying stale prices from their previous life. Caught on verify, fixed the same night. Verify is not optional.
  • An API once returned an error page instead of data, and the parser silently found nothing. Silence is treated as suspect ever since.
